About the Chairman

Mr Jaiprakash Pravinchandra Shroff, Director of Shroff Group, Baner, Pune has completed his BE (Civil) in 1st Class with Distinction, Gold Medalist. He has won several Awards like SY Abhyankar, RP Karandikar & GV Pandit prizes at ILS Law College where he stood 2nd in his year of 3rd LLB and CM Shah Concrete Technology Award 2001 for the project Supriya Sankul, Baner, etc.

He has held various posts in the past years & some of those are Chairman Constro 2009: Special Executive Magistrate appointed by Govt of Maharashtra from 2004 to 2008, Managing Committee Member BAI 1997, 2008, 2009, Founder of READ & Chairman Education Committee PBAP from 2005-2007: Secretary Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) 1999 to 2005, Chairman of the CIDC Coordination Committee 1997-98, Chairman of Builders’ Association of Pune 1994-95, Chairman of Press and Publicity all India Builders Convention 1992-93, Appointed by Govt of Maharashtra on Committee for Fixation of Minimum Wages for Construction Labours in the year 1991 and Chairman Credai Kushal to 2010.

He has been invited as a speaker at the Credai International Convention in Delhi, Institution of Engineers on Education & Training of Technical Manpower & skilled workers I.F.A.W.P.C.A at Seoul- Korea, Statecon of Karnataka on August 2012, orientation and Programme for Junior Engineers & Supervisors in February 2007 organized by BAI Pune, Panelist at 7th Asia Concrete Conference in Oct 2001 at New Delhi Organized by CIDC Institute Industry International Seminar organized by Institute of Engineers in 1998, Symposium on Syllabi Reform for Civil Engineering Degree courses of Pune University organized by Institute of Engineers in 1998, Built Environment on 1st to 6th July 1991 organzed by Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology, etc.

He has co-authored books on Labour Laws applicable to the Construction Industry.

As a Chairman of Kushal an initiative of Credai Pune Metro and NSDC he has been instrumental in training & certifying about 100000 workers in the last eight years in the Construction Sector. This is an CSR activity of Credai Pune Metro and has received several awards.
